Hi, I'm Sacha (he/him), current (finishing) PhD candidate at the Department of Informatics at King's College London. My PhD research was on enhancing the accessibility of audiovisual media (i.e. video) for people with aphasia through comprehension-first personalisation. My supervisors were Dr Timothy Neate and Professor Elena Simperl. I currently work as a research associate on two projects, both grounded in participatory design. On MARS I design and develop interactive ways of communicating post-stroke rehabilitation progress to clinicians and patients, while on TIBBL I work with blind and low vision programmers and teachers on a tangible programming toolkit for school aged children.
